- Black bill turns pale yellow by early fall
- Dusky legs
Habitat
Open fields and pastures, lawns, roadsides, orchards, freshwater marshes, saltwater marshes.
Diet
Mostly large insects such as grasshoppers, flies, and crickets; also spiders, frogs, snakes.
