Habitat

Found along the slopes of the andes mountains, from venezula to peru.

Description

Spectacled bears are black with white or yellow markings around the face and, at times, chest. Adult bears are usually about 76 cm. tall at the shoulder and any where from 130 to 190 cm. long. The females are usually two-thirds the size of the males.

Threats To

Loss of habitat for agriculture and sports hunting.
